Energy Bird – Moderation Policy for Social Media Comments, Tagging and Re-Sharing

1. Scope
Cogent International Manufacturing Inc. (the “Company”, “we”, “us”, or “our”) subjects all user-generated content – including comments, reviews, tags, and re-shares – submitted through our official social media channels (the “Social Media Pages”) to moderation in accordance with the following principles and modalities (the “Moderation Policy for Social Media Comments, Tagging and Re-Sharing”).
By submitting, or re-posting content, including by tagging us, you acknowledge and agree to the following terms and conditions governing the submission, evaluation, filtering, and publication of such content. If your content does not meet these terms, we may either: (i) contact you to explain why your content breaches these terms and offer you the opportunity to update it; or (ii) not publish or remove the content.
Please note that comments and tags are not intended for reporting product complaints, side effects, or adverse experiences. Such matters should be directed to Support@energybird.com or +1 (855) 425-7003. Analogously, product reviews must be submitted either on our website or on the third-party platform where the product was purchased, as the case may be. Reviews for purchases processed through our website will be subject to moderation in accordance with the Disclaimer on Consumer Review Moderation and Filtering Practices available in the relevant section of the website.
2. Moderation Procedures
To ensure integrity, relevance, and regulatory compliance of published content, a multi-tiered moderation process comprising automated and manual review mechanisms is applied.
- Languages Supported: Comments and tags may be submitted in English and French. The Company applies consistent moderation standards across both languages.
- Moderation Mechanisms: Content may be reviewed by both automated tools and manual moderators. The Company reserves the right to further manually review any content added by users on the Page.
- Commitment to Authenticity: The Company is committed to publishing all genuine, relevant, and lawful user content. We do not edit content in a manner that alters its meaning, sentiment, or user intent.
3. Moderation Criteria
We filter your interactions with our Social Media Pages and remove content/interactions based on the following criteria:
Authenticity and Eligibility
- Content must be authored by adults.
- The Company may take reasonable steps to verify that content originates from actual humans (i.e., no bots).
Relevance to Topic
- Content must pertain directly to the topic of the post.
- Content discussing unrelated matters – including but not limited to shipping, customer service, or other brands – may be excluded.
Sentiment Neutrality
- Content is evaluated without regard to sentiment. Both positive and negative feedback that meets moderation standards will be published.
Language and Safety Standards
- Content must be suitable for general audiences. The following are always prohibited and will be filtered:
- Profanity, obscenity, or vulgar expressions;
- Hate speech, discriminatory remarks, or defamatory statements;
- Personal attacks or harassment.
- This list is not exhaustive; the Company reserves the right to filter, redact, or reject any content deemed inappropriate or inconsistent with these standards.
Health Claims and Regulatory Compliance
- Content must not contain unauthorized health claims, dosage recommendations, medical advice.
- Reports of adverse events must be submitted through the dedicated channels and may be moderated if posted publicly. Content mentioning adverse events or product safety is promptly escalated to the appropriate functions; we do not discuss medical inquiries in public threads.
- Product reviews must be submitted through the dedicated section on our website, or the third-party platform, as the case may be and may be moderated if posted publicly.
Personal Data
- Content must not contain personal data (e.g., full names, addresses, phone numbers, or email addresses) of yourself or others.
Promotional Comments/Entries
- Promotional comments/entries must comply with official contest rules and applicable local law. We may remove or disqualify entries that violate community standards, disclosure, or eligibility.
Platform Policies, Brand Impersonation & Spam
- We apply platform‑specific rules. Publication may be withheld if a platform’s rules are deemed to be breached.
- We remove spam, malicious links, or brand impersonation and may report such activity to platforms.
Re-use of Content
- You grant us a perpetual, irrevocable, royalty-free, transferable right and license to use, copy, modify, delete, adapt, publish, translate, create derivative works from, and/or distribute the content in any form, medium, or technology worldwide without compensation to you.
4. Blocking
The Company reserves the right, in its sole discretion, to block, or suspend interactions with and access to our Social Media Pages, without notice and for any reason, including but not limited to breach of this Moderation Policy for Social Media Comments, Tagging and Re-Sharing.
5. Right to Amend
The Company reserves the right to amend this Moderation Policy for Social Media Comments, Tagging and Re-Sharing at any time, without prior notice, provided that such amendments shall not retroactively affect content already published.
6. Service Levels, Appeals and Records
We aim to review comments/tags within 72 hours (on business days). Timeframes may vary during peak activity or extraordinary events.
If your content is blocked or removed, you may request review via Support@energybird.com and we will do our best to revert to you in a reasonable timeframe.
We retain moderation decision logs and screenshots for 12 months to support audits and complaint resolution, in line with our Privacy Policy.
7. Governing Law
This Moderation Policy for Social Media Comments, Tagging and Re-Sharing is governed by and construed in accordance with the laws of Ontario, Canada. Any disputes arising from this Moderation Policy for Social Media Comments, Tagging and Re-Sharing shall be resolved in the courts located in Toronto, Ontario (Canada). If you are a resident of Quebec, this Moderation Policy for Social Media Comments, Tagging and Re-Sharing are governed by and construed in accordance with the laws of Quebec and Canada and any disputes arising from this Moderation Policy for Social Media Comments, Tagging and Re-Sharing shall be resolved in the courts located in the province of Quebec.
